Eventually they end

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

Eventually they end up injured, taking months and years to recuperate.

This is an important career success tip. Your career like many things in life cannot be rushed. You succeed by not rushing nor lazing off. Your career success comes to you when you do not rush yourself through it. But this also means you do not laze off. When you rush you start to be careless. You forget the basic important steps in the race for your career success. If you sprint through at this early phase, you risk overdoing it. On the other hand, if you laze off ? you won?t put in the appropriate effort needed for success. For success to happen, you need to be moderate in your pursuit. That would be career success tip for you. There is a saying:

Hurrying makes things too tight,

Slacking off lets things get too loose,

By not hurrying and not slacking off,

We can succeed at what we do.

In this race, you are your own competitor.

There is just something special about

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

There is just something special about a new car: the smell, the look, the price tag! For some 17 million American drivers a new car is in their future, while many others opt for the used car market. Some of the cars on the market today are hot, hot, hot! Let?s take a look at several new and future offerings from Dodge.

Thanks in part to new ownership [Daimler Benz purchased the Chrysler Corporation in 1998] a fresh infusion of great looking Dodge models have hit a showroom near you. Additional models are soon to appear and the makeover that Dodge has been receiving is nothing less than astounding. Here are some of my favorites:

Magnum

– Who said that a station wagon should resemble a family hauler? The Magnum sure doesn?t. With an intimidating grille and a rakish exterior, the Magnum is a true man pleaser while also giving women a bit extra room in the back to haul stuff. Throw in a Hemi and the Magnum truly rocks!

Charger

? Okay, so the new Charger has four doors. Well, you can?t have everything. You

can

have macho looks, a powerful engine, and a car that is certain to compete with anything that Japan or Germany throws its way.

Since my new personal computer did

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

Since my new personal computer did not sport a floppy disk drive, I fretted about what I would do with my floppies and how I would access the data stored on the floppies until I discovered external floppy disk drives through research. After conducting a little more research, I decided to purchase an external floppy disk drive from an online store whose site made me feel safe in using my credit card. Three days after making my purchase, I received my external floppy drive.

If you find yourself in my former position, then try to conduct a bit of your own research to find the external floppy disk drive that suits your data storage needs and purchase that drive. Like me, you won’t have to toss your floppies, after all.

I have come to embrace more modern technology, storing data on rewriteable compact discs and flash drives, but I also still find comfort in seeing an external floppy disk drive plugged into its USB 2.0 port on my new personal computer.

Artist paints a pretty picture of Shamokin

0 Comments | News – Item, The; Shamokin, Pa., Jun 28, 2010 | by LARRY DEKLINSKI

SHAMOKIN — Friendly people, affordable housing and low taxes is how French painter Claude Harrington described Shamokin while sitting in her backyard in one of the oldest sections of the city.

Flanked by a hand painted, colorful retaining wall and surrounded by an assortment of lively flowers and bushes, Harrington — born in Paris and living for the past 25 years in New Jersey — explained why her and husband, Shaun, favored Shamokin as the place to retire.

“In general, the people are more friendly, they really are,” said Harrington about Shamokin. “Everything moves so fast (in New Jersey). You don’t get a chance to connect to people.”

Exhausted by the inflated cost of living, tiring commute and fast- paced world of big cities, the Harringtons purchased a home in Shamokin in 2006. After extensive renovation, they moved from a town 40 miles from New York City in June of 2009.

Though the move might seem quite odd to some, Claude and Shaun have no regrets.

“The taxes are so horrendous in New Jersey. Even if we worked, retired and stayed there, it’s almost unfordable,” said Mr. Harrington.

The Harringtons discovered Shamokin through a long-time friend who resides in the city. After visiting their friend on several occasions, Claude and Shaun fell in love with the slow-paced, friendly environment and deep history of the area.

“When you start to walk around town, it’s actually very pretty and some of the houses are really nice,” said Mrs. Harrington. “Everybody is just really, really friendly.”

Increasing in Popularity

Inspired by the streets and landmarks of Paris, Mrs. Harrington started creating paintings at the age of six. Over the next 15 years, she created hundreds gouache, oil and acrylic paintings depicting a wide-range of scenes.

At 21, she married and moved to New Jersey. The couple later divorced. Claude found love again after meeting her current husband, Shaun. They share five children together.

While living in New Jersey, Mrs. Harrington began to display her work at art shows. Her pieces increased in popularity and many are now displayed in various wineries, restaurants and art galleries in New Jersey and New York.

An Artist’s Look at Shamokin

After moving to Shamokin, Harrington began to draw local landmarks of Shamokin. During a recent art show at the Fine Arts Gallery inside the Northumberland County Career and Arts Center, Shamokin, Harrington displayed pieces of artwork depicting the Coney Island, the former Shamokin Area High School, in Shamokin, Mother Cabrini Church.

“When I was living in France, I did go to school, but I always painted. I just love to paint. I always did that. I do a little bit of everything,” said Harrington. “(At the show) I wanted to represent what I kind of thought of Shamokin. I thought, let me do something that is like food for the mind.”

Harrington said she paints almost every day in a room on the third floor of their home. Despite living far from cities that shadow Shamokin architecturally and financially, Harrington continues to create spectacular paintings.

“We walk in different parts of the city, and Claude will sometimes say, ‘That could make a good photo,’” said Shaun. “We appreciate the fact we can walk around town

Having a career as a franchise executive can be very lucrative, challenging and highly rewarding. If you are interested in a career as a franchise executive perhaps you might wish to get a degree in this field.

The International Franchise Association sponsors a degree program called; Certified Franchise Executive or CFE degree. Those that have CFE degrees are highly sought after by large franchising companies. Please consider all this in 2006.

It’s in the book, all of

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

It’s in the book, all of them.

The most popular New Testament “proof texts” for this thinking among Christian Fundamentalists and Evangelicals, comes from Mark 13 and the parallel passages found in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. These written in answer to the disciples question… “WHEN shall these things be, and what shall be the sign of your coming?”

It’s all about WHEN. The “when” is unknowable even if one believes with all their heart it has to be soon. The faithful forget that speculation on the future is always just that. It is not fact. It is not how it will be and all speculation over the past 2000 years as to “when”, to date has been 100% wrong.

Far too many Pastor types base their entire ministry on the imminent return of Jesus. One would be hard pressed to find the actual word “Jesus” in any other context in their sermons, articles and pronouncements.

It’s all about the second coming and it’s all about SOON for the most rabid and judgmental COG splinters. Those who question the wisdom of this mistaken approach to life become the scoffers who nip at the heels of the saints.

“…there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation,”

But running that risk, and with all due respect to the sincere seeker of Biblical truth, I predict that Jesus will not be returning any time soon.

Why not? Because in the very predictions of Jesus lie the fact that he was himself wrong about them.

It is always wise to exercise caution

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

It is always wise to exercise caution when you are purchasing herbs. Be certain that you are using a reputable supplier that guarantees both the quality and purity of the herbs you are purchasing. You can find many quality suppliers at our website: UsingHerbs.Com

Chamomile also plays an important part in skin and hair care. Chamomile is an excellent tonic for fair hair. Use it as a rinse after shampooing to restore shine and bring out your hair?s natural highlights. Or better yet, steep together a pot of chamomile flowers and nettles for 20 minutes, then add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Place this mixture in a spray bottle and generously spray on your hair after shampooing. Do not rinse. The slightly vinegary smell will go away in a few minutes. This hair tonic is absolutely fabulous for blond hair. It will remove tangles, strengthen the hair and prevent breakage and split ends.

4th suspect surrenders in slaying of hotel heir

MIAMI (AP) — The fourth suspect in the killing of a Florida hotel heir in a New York hotel has turned himself in to the FBI.

FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela says 25-year-old Joel Gonzalez came forward Friday in Miami, with an initial court appearance set for Monday. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Prosecutors say Gonzalez took part in the killing last July of 53-year-old Ben Novack Jr. at the Hilton Rye Town in Rye Brook. Novack was heir to the founder of Miami Beach’s famed Fontainebleu Hotel.

Also charged in the alleged plot are Novack’s widow, Narcy Novack, and two other men. Prosecutors say Narcy Novack feared she would be cut out of her husband’s will and estate. The estate is estimated at $10 million.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) — Texas authorities say the body of a federal inmate who escaped from jail in El Paso was found at a landfill eight miles away in New Mexico.

El Paso County deputy Jesse Tovar said the body of 30-year-old Carlos Roberto Medina-Bailon was found Friday in a landfill in Sunland Park, N.M., that the jail’s trash company uses.

Medina-Bailon was still wearing a dark blue jail jumpsuit and knee-high rubber boots when the jail trash collector discovered his body

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

As a client, I was been able to see exactly how psychics who are not real work their magic. After getting a psychic reading from dozens of so-called psychic advisors, you may find yourself intoxicated by the things that the psychic tells you. If it sounds too good to be true, most likely it is. You have to understand the origins and purpose of psychic networks. Their job is to make lots of money, not to help you. Granted, there are real psychics who are gifted and working on psychic network lines, but I have found that most of the people working as psychic advisors period, are not real at all.

In effect, a busy

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

In effect, a busy resume is like a red alert to prospective employers, making them think ten times before hiring you.

Critical reasons why you should not indulge in rampant Job hopping:

1) Can be a heavy dampener if you are looking to become a VP or CEO someday. As you go higher, the jobs get more challenging with demanding deliverables and targets. While recruiting people for Senior positions like VP, CEO, MD or CFO, recruiters look out for people who have stood their guns and have delivered on their job. If your r?sum? reflects your instability, employers may be compelled to reject you on the simple reason that you have had “short” stints and haven?t proven yourself well-enough. They will also be forced to assume that employing you may be a costly mistake!

2) Frequent relocation also affects your networking ability. How can you expect to make, leave alone sustain valuable friendships and acquaintances when you flit from one job to another. You are so busy sifting through jobs that you don’t have the time to make friends who may be of help to you later.
